Decisions

V: I ask myself do I have a choice? Can I make a decision?
Madhukar: Regarding?

V: I left this open on purpose because mind is always again producing new decision-situations. But for example: “Can I make a decision regarding a profession which serves self-inquiry, which gives me the freedom to be with you more often?”. This is why I left it open, because there are different questions coming up again and again.

Madhukar: The best is when you are in peace. Peace. If you are in a working relationship where there is no peace, then this is not very favorable. Unfavorable.

But also here is valid: when your orientation is focused on peace, your life will be formed by itself accordingly, when this focus is clearly there, when this is the most important thing for you.
But if it is more important to you to satisfy other people’s conceptions they have of you, then your life will spin around this. Since a long time there is this discussion whether there is such a thing like a decision at all.

Why? Because everything within this universe is totally determined, predetermined. Yes, but within this of course you have skills, knowledge, and you can evaluate what you like and so on. Accordingly you can be oriented and also make a decision. Therefore, make the decision! Because one thing you did detect: remaining in doubt weakens you, and for a little while life becomes even more complicated. You feel trapped.

But when your orientation is focused on freedom, to be free, then you can do any activity, because you know “I am this wonderful power, that is behind everything, not the person with its hopes and desires, fears and misgivings”. The best is to be in peace and do nothing.
That does not mean, that you are not doing any activities, no work, that you do not nourish yourself. But the realization, that in truth you are not the doer. When we look at this with our mind it sounds a bit abstract and also contradictory.

But in realization all contradictions solve. In faith also all contradictions solve. My desire for freedom was so big that everything focused on this. And life was focused on what my master advised me, and that was self-inquiry. But it did not manifest in a dogmatic form but in a very vital one. It manifested in the mirror with “being in the world.” In activities, amusements and disappointments.

So now you do not have to decide your life until its end. It is very simple. Because when you turn towards Self then Self turns towards you. Well, sooner or later you will realize that you are blessed. Life and the world are not how they appear to us anyway if looking at it in a normal way, in a normal experience. In this respect do and let be what you like, and when your clock ticks you do what is necessary. It will reveal. It offers itself to you.

Your neighbours, your relations possibly are not interested in your freedom. They want to use your for their world, their recognition, for their concepts. All who want to be free have apostatized, broken away from these circumstances, at least for some period of time. Not in a bad intent, no.

In this authenticity the result becomes even bigger, more authentic, more truthful, to be true love, true relationship also with these people. Based on freedom, not on obligations, not on habitualness, not on limitation. It is good to be in harmony with the world, also with the material world, and clarity arises automaticly. So, I do not see any bigger difficulties for you.
