According to your website, you share a blessed lineage with Sri Ramana Maharshi and Sri H.W.L. Poonja. What does this mean? What have these masters passed on to you?
Madhukar: Grace.

Aflame

Sometimes it seems to me that people feel more strongly attracted
to bondage than freedom. And that they are afraid of their own inner fire, afraid of life itself. Whatever it is they have been conditioned to believe – it is not, in the end, truth. That which you are is untouched and pure.
It is aflame.

This is my view. Possibly you have your own view. I do not claim that my own experience is the only valid one.
Each one of you is Awakening, and so do not hesitate to be.

*The best part is that this silence is still here whenever I recall these images.
What a powerful presence.*
***************************************************************************************************
*There’s a legend about Sri Ramana Maharshi that he never spoke but just sat there in silence—the classic image of the enlightened man. There is no doubt that he is the Satguru. I had the chance to ask people about him and read a few things about his real life, since I am spending some time every year in Tiruvannamalai, where he lived. And so I heard many reports from his contemporaries, who painted a fuller picture of him. He had a good sense of humor, sometimes he would even poke fun at his visitors, and he was very idiosyncratic – and of course quiet, very quiet. A silence that can still be felt and that serves everyone who makes the journey to this holy mountain that Ramana loved so much and at the foot of which his ashram lies. Bhagavan’s presence can still be felt even now, as a great vitality.*

*This is most certainly not severity. Severity comes from dogmatism – Puritanism for example, or for instance Calvinism, which has had such a strong influence in Switzerland, Holland and the Skandinavian countries. Also in the US we find this kind of religious dogmatism which is the mother of two ugly sisters – suppression and hypocrisy. Severity usually has its origin in a disciplinary or religious movement, it does not come from truth itself.*

To Madhukar, the only teacher who has not given up on me.
Sitting in my favorite spot
The mountain is looking at me
I look at things, things disappear.
What stays is peace
And the beauty of That.
